A single-family home that is a secluded refuge in an urban setting.

Modern architecture is increasingly looking for solutions that allow uncompromising separation from the hustle and bustle of the city without losing contact with nature. The presented realization of a single-family house is a study of privacy, in which a key role was played by wood-fired Wood of Fire boards.
Facade as a shield and decoration
The building from the front side takes the form of a minimalist, austere block. The use of a Japanese wood preservation technique produced a surface with a unique structure that is not only visually intriguing, but acts as a durable protective barrier. The deep black of the fired wood emphasizes the monolithic nature of the building, providing residents with a coveted sense of security and intimacy.
Smooth transition to the landscape
The other side of the development is a complete opening to the natural surroundings. The house literally “walks out” towards the garden, where the sandy waterfront and self-cleaning pond create a private enclave of tranquility. Our boards became a natural extension of the living area – the covered terrace and the footbridge leading to the gazebo were designed to stand the test of time and the harsh conditions associated with moisture.
Why Wood of Fire?
In this realization, we bet on our strongest assets, which make us the leader of the European market:
Total protection: Thanks to an advanced four-sided impregnation, the wood retains its physical and aesthetic properties regardless of exposure to sun or water.
Perfect fit: We used individually profiled boards, which made it possible to achieve perfectly clean facade lines, key to modern designs.
This partnership between the architectural vision and craftsmanship of Wood of Fire has resulted in a space that is at once modern, sustainable and deeply rooted in nature.
