Black modern barn

“House in black” is a modern barn designed by Maciek Rempalski from Modern Studio Architektury from Opole. This project is characterized by:not only elegant and subtle architecture visible from the outside, but also hidden modern solutions.

The idea for a raw, “natural” form of the building is reflected in the finishing of the entire façade with fired boards in the SILESIA-2 variant. Eye-catching panoramic glazing gives the barn a modern character while opening the building to the garden. Placing tall windows on the sunny, southern side is intended not only to invite natural light into the interior, but also to give a feeling of unrestricted space.

In order to coherently manage the entire space, emphasis was also placed on the garden, which in the end perfectly harmonizes with the shape of the building. The garden surrounding the house is minimalist and constitutes an extension of the building’s compositional axes. A functionally organized garden relaxation zone blends with the interior of the house.

While maintaining a consistent style, the materials used to finish the façade were used in the arrangement of the space around the modern barn. A full fence made of fired wooden boards effectively isolates the property and at the same time delights with its unpretentious charm. Wood gives great opportunities to shape the lines, degree of clearance and texture of the fence. All these elements coherently combined together create a very interesting whole.
